The calm in the morning before racing started.

Taking a look at one of the roads to be raced on in the morning. That's my 1997 Saturn with 447,000 miles on it (as of November, 2005).

They're going to round this corner, transitioning from smooth new blacktop, to broken up pavement and gravel.

If they miss the corner they'll land here.

Coming to the stage finish.









Each car logged in by Hams. If one doesn't make it, the hunt will begin.





I wasn't able to see the start from where I had to park with my radio gear,

so car numbers were relayed by hand signals.

Unfortunately the stage was cancelled.

There were some problems with locals on the road.

We don't have this problem at the Maine Forest Rally.

The Grand Finale at the Monticello Raceway.












My Saturn was well guarded while I took these pictures.


Following the racers, the sweep vehicles took a run around the track and through the finish.
